Character reference sheet for Aki Ameko, for 's OC Tournament.

Name: Aki Ameko
Age: 120, but appears 18 (Still rather young for a half-elf)
Race: Half-elf, half-witch
About: Aki is a member of the witch clan, Hoshi Uranai. (Meaning 'Star Divination', or Astrology, in Japanese) The clan uses both the Eastern and Western Zodiac in much of their magic, and all the members are highly influenced by their signs and their birth. Aki's Western Zodiac is Virgo, her Eastern Zodiac is Dragon, and her element is Earth.
Powers/Abilities:
Spells: She can cast spells by saying words in her clan's ancient language. The words are what I like to call 'Japanized English'. Basically, you take some english words but pronounce/spell them the Japanese way, like they actually do in the language for foreign words spelled in Katakana. Example: 'Mouthless Man' becomes 'Maforesu Man' (Mah-foe-re-soo Mahn), and 'Collapsing Chair' becomes 'Korapusiin Chaa' (Koh-rah-poo-seen Chah). Since the source of Aki's magic is in her eyes, she needs to both be able to see her target and speak in order to cast a spell.
Earth Tremor: Because Virgo's element is earth, the jewel in Aki's staff channels the earth element. She can swing her staff around to move earth and cause earthquakes. Other uses for her staff are flying, blocking, hitting, and magic amplification.
Flight: Aki can mount her staff like a witch's broom to fly. The wings enlarge and spread out when she does this.
Healing: Aki can heal others with physical touch and vocal command. She cannot heal herself--Her healing requires the bonding of two hearts.
Angel Ability: In life-threatening or stressful situations, Aki will sprout angel wings as a sign of her sign and protection from her goddess, Virgo. She is much stronger in this form and can fly.
Dragon Riding: Aki can summon her companion dragon, Tiamat, through a psychic connection between them. I may or may not use Tiamat in OC battles. (Tiamat actually belongs to )
Pros:
-Intelligent and clever. Very resourceful and good at using her head. (When she pushes away fear and tries hard enough to think clearly)
-Kind and good-hearted. She has a strong heart and lots of love. She values life and will never kill.
-Good reflexes. Can dodge and block easily.
-Strong magical ability.
Cons:
-Sometimes too smart fo her own good. (i.e., tends to figure out things that she'd be better off not knowing.)
-Her kind heart can sometimes be a danger to herself. Trusts too easily. She is very emotional and easily flustered or scared.
-Is 'touch-phobic'. Doesn't like being touched by those she doesn't know, especially in sensitive areas. Is easily flustered by flirts and perverts.
-Not real strong or very fast.
-Magical drawbacks: Needs to be able to see and speak to cast spells, magic is weaker without her staff, use of magic drains her energy and makes her tired. (Using too much could make her pass out, or even die.)
