Dragon Flower

Aaaaaaand my first Monthly "Big" Piece! Thus one I have to admit was kind of rushed, though. I had a lot going on and procrastination ensues! I'm still glad I got this in by the end of the month, though. One of the big reasons why I set this goal was so that I could learn to meet self-imposed deadlines.

This is a doodle that ended up turning into a more serious picture. It was just something I felt like drawing at the time... A particular look I fancied at the time and wanted to get down on paper. There is no particular meaning or anything to this really, just pretties!

Experimented with a new method of coloring, where I make all the shapes like I would in a vector image, but then I shade inside those areas. Created clear division of space while still adding depth. You guys like?

I had =silver-dragonetsu push me a bit with this, but I'd still like to know what everyone else thinks. Critique, please? What works and what doesn't? Should I try this method again? Thanks!

Also, this is a chick. A very flat-chested chick but still a chick. XD
