Yep, tis a metaphorical piece about the search for one's 'soul mate'... I was thinking one day that it was like trying to find a needle in a haystack....yet it's something much more precious. So, more appropriately, a jewel in the sand.

I can't believe how fast I was able to get this done... Just a few hours! Spent most of the day on it, but only one day! It amazes me what I can do with the tablet and Photoshop now. I FEEL ARTEESTIC OMG YAY.

Sand doesn't look as good as I'd like it to though... But I was too lazy to go and work on it more. XP Do you people get that she's lying down in the sand? Ok. Good. (LOL I'M ASSUMING)

And yes, Aki is my model as she always is, but I didn't include the elfy ears because for all points and purposes here this piece is more about the concept than the character, and elven ears would destract away from the main point. It coud really be anyone there... I just used Aki is all. :B
