Wasn't planning to color this originally, but today I baught a snow globe that you could insirt pictures into... And I couldn't help myself. So I decided that this one and another one would make beautiful scenes inside a snow globe... So more will be coming. :3 And I really am overusing those brushes I downloaded, aren't I? View some of my previous deviations for links for downloading them... (Too lazy at the moment.)

An absolutely adorable scene from the Fiction RP in which Aki and Axel share their first REAL kiss. (One where Axel wasn't being a pervy jerk) Had to find a tutorial and some references in order for this to come out right. I know Axel's head looks kind of hunched over funny, but my excuse was that he was craning his neck down to Aki's level. There IS a massive height difference between them.

"It's time..." Axel said to himself as the sky darkened to night and the cheerful sounds of the festival could be easily heard from the spot. Axel took a deep breath and looked over where the others were hiding. Demyx gave a big thumbs up before hiding himself again. Axel paced back and forth for a moment or two, almost thinking maybe it wasn't such a good idea.
"Axel.. what are you waiting for?!" Demyx said, more to himself than Axel. Glancing at Fayt for a sec, he smiled slyly at the man and summoned up a little water to 'wake Axel up'.
"Ah! Demyx!" Axel turnned and glared at their hiding spot as he heard muffled laughing. Whiping off the little bit of water, Axel sighed and knew it was now or never. "Ok... Here we go!" Axel said as he held up his hand and concentrated. "Come to me... NOW!" There was a flash of black mixed with red flame, and before he knew it Aki was there in front of him with her back to him.
The scenery was perfect. The moon shimmered on the lake as Demyx created a number of fountains in it, as well as misted the water enough create a lunar rainbow. Small lightning fireflies created by Fayt flew all around the area as if they were naturally supposed to be there. A soft, soothing melody of a violin echoed in the clearing, adding a sort of tranquility to the already peaceful setting. Yes, everything was perfect. "Um... Missy?" he said rather nervously. He took a step towards her and adjusted his deep red yukata. 'How can people wear these things comfortibly?! And who's playing the violin?' he thought to himself as he tried to swallow the lump in his throat. His hands felt clamy and his voice was even a little shaky. "Um... Heh, I'm glad you're here Missy. I... uh, was worried you might not come. You know... seeing how cold I was to you earlier..." He rubbed the back of his head nervously and walked over to stand beside her. "Well? Um... what do you think?" he asked, worried that it might not be proper for all that gone on earlier in the day.

Aki Ameko:
Aki gasped as the darkness suddenly washed over her again, and closed her eyes tight while trying to bear the sensation.

When she arrived, she only stood withdrawn in silence, eyes still closed, until Axel spoke. "Ehh..." She made a soft gasping noise, like she was trying to stifle a sob. Finally she opened her eyes and looked around in confusion. "...What is this...?" Was all she could say. She still couldn't look directly at Axel either.

Axel was silent for a moment or two as he tried to control his growing nervousness. "It's, um... Well I just thought that... Uh..." He didn't really know how to explain himself. He just wanted to do something nice for her to make up for what a jerk he had been lately... And... Axel shook his head, trying to think again on how to explain himself. "Missy... I've been such a jerk to you lately. I.. Um, just wanted to make it up to you. And... Uh..." He stopped, unsure that he should continue. 'Maybe it is too much. I should let her be with Tia tonight... Stupid me...' Axel sighed and stared at her. "I'm sorry Missy. I know it was selfish of me to call you here tonight, what with everything that had happened today, but I... I just wanted to..." Axel's face turnned as red as his hair for a moment as he shook the thought from his head. 'No... How can I ask something like that of her... It... It's not fair of me to be that selfish...' Axel turnned from Aki and stared over at a one of the several fountains that Demyx was controlling in the lake. "Missy, would you like me to send you back? I can do that or maybe call Tia to come and get you if you would like..." Axel's voice was shaky again, and he tugged nervously at one of his sleeves of the yukata waiting for Aki to say something.

Aki's mind was racing. 'He wanted to make it up to me?? But... I thought... He didn't have to...' "No...it's ok... I'll stay..." Tearing up now, Aki finally turned to look at Axel, then wished she hadn't -- she wasn't prepared for the yukata, and the shock of it made her blush uncontrollably. "You...changed your clothing..." She said softly. Her growing insecurity caused her to position herself with one hand over her heart and the other by her mouth. It was increasingly difficult to keep her voice steady. "You did all this...for me...?" Aki stared at him a moment, tears continuing to swell up around her eyes.

Without warning, Aki flung herself on Axel and clung to his sleeve, sobbing. "You didn't have to do this... I'm the one who should be sorry... I didn't mean the things I said, really I didn't... I'm so sorry..."

Axel barely had time to react as Aki suddenly flung herself on him. He caught her and somehow managed to keep himself on his feet. Hearing her soft words, it felt like a weight was being lifted off his shoulders. "Missy..." he said softly as he let her cry on him. The lump in his throat was still there, but Axel felt a little less nervous. "Missy... I wanted to do this for you, and... I wanted to ask you something..." he said, trying to keep himself calm. 'Just do it... Ask her...' he thought to himself, and taking a deep breath, he decided to go for it. "Aki... could I... What I mean is... Would you mind staying by my side?" Axel felt his face go bright red, but he wasn't about to stop now. "Missy... this journey of ours, it's only going to get more dangerous as time goes on... We may get into fights, maybe even distrust one another here and there... Heh, and who even knows how many of us are going to be alive in the end..." Axel paused, not wanting to think about the last part. "...But, in spite of all that... I want you with me, by my side every step of the way." Axel paused and looked down at Aki. "Missy, I know it's a lot to ask... And I would completely understand if you didn't want to. Heh, after all, you still have your traveling to do don't you?" Axel smiled a sad little smile and brought a hand up to gently rub Aki's warm cheek. "Aki..."

Aki stopped sobbing instantly and froze in silence. The weight of what he was asking crushed down on her, but then caused her spirit to lift... She knew in her heart which answer she wanted to choose.

"Yes." she whispered into his jacket. She couldn't help but smile a little as she stood there in his arms, feeling warm and safe. "I-I...I was thinking about...about asking you the same thing..." She blushed deeply as she said this, a little embarrassed that she actually did put it into words. She twitched slightly as Axel began rubbing her cheek, but did nothing to stop it. Instead she brought her own hand up to meet his, and held his wrist tightly.

Hearing Aki's reply, Axel grinned ear to ear and pulled Aki in close. "Aki..." was all he could say as he held her close, feeling her warmth against him. "I'll do everything in my power to keep you safe. I promise..." he said, and leaned down to rest his forehead on hers. 'Heh... this is truely the perfect evening...' he thought to himself, holding Aki in his arms and just enjoying the moment. 'Oh goddess Virgo, I don't know if you truely exist, but I swear to you, I will not let anything happen to this woman...' After that, feeling the mood was right and unable to contain himself, Axel started to turn his head and go in for a kiss.

Aki couldn't tell herself why she did it. Everything was warm, calm, and peaceful, but exciting at the same time. It just felt...right. She couldn't see anything wrong with it. Axel leaned in, and her lips seemed drawn to his as though by magnetic force. She never imagined that it would feel this good. The only other time their lips had met, she had been angry...but this time was so much different. She knew that she had truly fallen in love with this man.

The fireworks came out of nowhere. Aki jumped, startled, and covered her mouth, now very self-aware and embarrassed.

"Uuuuhm..." She tried to say something, as though to justify her actions, but no words would come. Instead she just stared at Axel with wide eyes, her face going a deeper shade of red with each moment.

The kiss with Aki was one like Axel had never experienced before. It felt... pure. Her soft lips against his, the beat of her loving heart, the warmth of her body, so pure, so innocent. Time seemed to slow down in that moment as he held Aki in that embrace. It felt so good, and since he had met the witch he had longed for a moment like this. But now that they were actually having one, he was at a loss of words... A loss of all thought and reason. All he knew for certain was in that moment there was him and this amazing woman. And just when it seemed that eternity itself was on his side, a loud bang sounded and time continued it's flow. Axel glared to himself in his mind. 'Fayt... you have the WORST timing...' he thought annoyingly to himself. He sighed though and stared down at Aki, smiling gently. Without saying anything Axel merely wrapped an arm around Aki's waist and turned both her and him towards the exploding fireworks. "What a beautiful night..." he said kindly, now just enjoying the show and being able to watch it with the woman he... loved.
