OH GODS, IT'S DONE. That took waaaaaay too long. Why do I enjoy torturing myself so?

In any case, this is my audition for ~Ganondorfthethird's "Oberon's Garden" OC Tournament! Now, I don't expect anyone to understand what's going on unless you've read the storyline here: [link] and especially the prologue here: [link] This comic is a direct conintuation from part 4 of the prologue.

So, about the comic itself: I killed myself working on this. XP Bah. I'm going to need at least a whole day for my hand to recover from this. XP

About the comic itself without my complaining about my hand: Comic! OMG! Aki did a comic! I've found I don't usually like doing comics because IT'S SO MUCH WORK. OMG. I think this is the reason I don't have a webcomic by now. I think I'd get tired of it real soon. (Anyone who follows my work has probably realized I skip around a lot in my work. I get bored doing the same thing over and over.) In any case, I have now done a comic. I think it's a pretty big improvement from my last try at an OC Tournament: [link] ...Egads. Actually what I think has improved most is my storytelling. My first try had more shading.

After that first horrifying experience I learned a few things, including that I don't really care about art quality overall as long as the viewer can understand what's going on. Hence the lack of shading in this entry. But I think my writing had definitely improved. So, I WOULD like some critique as far as the comic work goes; (not the drawing, like proportions and such. If I went and pointed out everything I already know is wrong I'd write a novel.) Can you understand what's going on? If not, what through you off? Is there anything that sticks out and really bothers you? Do you think I told the story effectively? I may as well turn this into a learning experience.

Speaking of learning experiences; prior to this comic I COULD NOT DRAW HORSES WORTH A CRAP. So thanks to some great tutorials and other reference materials, I have come out with something pretty decent. I am still no horse expert, but anyone who's seen my previous horses will hopefully notice some improvement.

Some additional notes: I couldn't include every important detail in my audition, so I've left out things like her wish, and the fact that she will be competing in a tournament. I plan to either write an in-between thing to post (text only) or include it in my 1st round. (If I get in the tournament at all. @_@ ) More on this in her character sheet.

Despite my complaining, I did have fun with this. It's not really the end of the world if I don't get in. NO WAIT. YES IT IS. I WILL KILL MYSELF IF I DON'T GET IN. J/K
