OMG WUT HAPPENED?! 0.O

Fai fanart?! Where'd that come from?!

Ok. I've had a rather biplor day and a half. Yesterday was going ok. I went and watched the first ep of the new Tsubasa Tokyo Revelations OVA, and finally got to witness that tear-jerking scene in which Fai and Kurogane are talking, and Kurogane confronts Fai about his situation, why he used magic to get them out of Lecourt country, and pretty much told him to get over whatever was haunting him. (And, excuse me for being quite frank, grow some balls, LOL. :XD: ) In any case, Fai pretty much collapses and has an emo fit inside his head, because he let himself get so close to Sakura and Syaoran and he's only afraid he will hurt them...

So I got inspired, took some screenshots, and started sketching. It was then that I got a phonecall from my pissed off boss and it started my depressive mood that carried over into my drawing, and later into the night.

But this morning I started painting it, and well... I think I'll call it an ARTISTIC BREAKTHROUGH. Not saying I'm awesome or perfect or anything, because I'm not by any stretch of the imagination. ^^; But I found a technique that I think...really WORKS for me. And I've been on cloud nine all day because of it.

So in a way, this tribute to Fai is also a tribute to hope for all the emos. LOL.

Now on the picture itself, I referenced a screenshot where he was slumped on the floor after Kurogane left, and said something like "I know I have to forget, but it's difficult." I originally was gonna have the full body version on the right, but I didn't like how it was coming out. So I decided to put in what he was possibly thinking about at that moment...? His homeland, Celes. :heart: (Ok maybe it doesn't look like Celes, but NOW YOU KNOW WHAT IT'S SUPPOSED TO BE) And of course swirly blue magic is love. :heart:

I'm also quite happy that I now have some decent Fai fanart. :heart: I'll try to get more of his face in next time, LOL.

It's ok emo-face. We can't stop loving you. :heart:
