Long ago, there lived a noble prince.
One day, he was summoned to a neighboring kingdom across the sea.
But during the voyage, the Prince's ship was captured by pirates.
Because the Prince refused to cooperate, the pirates threw him into the sea.
Deeper and deeper the Prince sank, until he had lost all hope of survival.
Then, suddenly, a beautiful mermaid descended from above, more like an angel than a fish.
The mermaid smiled kindly and gave the Prince a healing kiss.
The Prince, astounded that he was now able to breath, thanked the mermaid and returned to his ship.
But after he had reclaimed his ship and his crew, the Prince decided he no longer wanted to live above land, and returned to the sea to spend the rest of his life with the beautiful mermaid who had saved it.

My entry for *MiyaToriaka's Ash and Misty Love contest! [link]

The guidelines were to draw Ash and Misty (or Satoshi and Kasumi) from Pokemon in a romantic setting. There was going to be another part to this, where I was going to draw them kissing, but I ran out of time. XP I may still do it at a later time though.

My fave episode of Pokemon EVAR is "The Misty Mermaid", where Mist performs in an underwater ballet as a mermaid. I was disappointed that we never got to see Ash dressed as a Prince! I'm sure he would have looked good. X3

So ya, here's my fairytale take on the pairring. :XD: Was kind of rushed, but it's done!

Ash looks good in a prince outfit! shame he wasn't the prince in the underwater ballet but at leats we got to see him in something like that when he was voiceacting in a radio show.

Haha yeah I wish that too. XD But the episode wouldn't have had much of a plot without it. And we wouldn't have gotten to see James in his SMASHING tutu. XD
