Liberty Magica

So, Madoka Magica is really awesome, in case you didn't know already. It's like, my second favorite series now. XD;; (Tutu still takes the top)

I've been wanting to do a series of "Me in various fandoms" for a while and I've done a few sketches, but this is the only one I've colored.

It's me in the Madoka universe. (I don't really consider this the same as an "original character" or a "fan character," since I don't actually plan to do anything with her story-wise at this time.) I do have some concepts for her as a character, though. Decided to go with a more muted, dusty rose as opposed to a bright pink. (That's my favorite color as of late.) Her soul gem is actually based off of my cutie mark design, (with the same symbolism) and I just really like how it came out. Outfit design (you can probably tell) based mostly off of Mami's and Homura's designs. Weapons (I have another sketch for this somewhere) would be bells that can change various sizes (like Mami's guns) and resemble handbells.

For a possible backstory, I was thinking of what I was like back in middle school, and what I would wish for (if I wasn't aware of all of the consequences, of course, LOL) would be friends, or the capacity to be better at making and keeping friends. It's Madoka...not supposed to be very happy. XD
